Drawers

Wooden Drawer Sides

Single extension
A budget-friendly option for those looking to save money on their kitchen renovation. However, they are not as durable or sturdy as other types of drawer runners and may not be able to support heavy loads. Additionally, they do not offer the same level of convenience as other types of runners, such as soft-close or full-extension runners. If you’re looking for a high-quality and long-lasting solution for your kitchen drawers, single extension runners may not be the best choice.
Ball bearing runners
These runners are attached to the wooden sides of the drawer and feature ball bearings that allow the drawer to slide in and out smoothly. They are a popular choice for low-height and large drawers, and can support up to 45kg, including the weight of the drawer. They are available in zinc, black, and white, depending on the brand. Heavy-duty versions can support over 100kg. They come with and without soft-close feature.
Concealed runners
Concealed runners are installed underneath the drawer and remain hidden by the wooden sides when the drawer is open. They are an excellent choice if you want a sleek, uniform, and contemporary look for your kitchen. These runners can support up either 30g or 70kg, including the weight of the drawer. The soft close feature is standard, ensuring that the drawers close quietly and smoothly.

Metal Drawer Sides

Single wall
The sides of these drawers are made from a single metal ‘wall’. They are the most affordable option. A soft-close function can be added, however this typically undoes the cost saving. Single wall runners are often found in wardrobes and budget kitchens. Typically they come in white or an off white colour. The heights of metal sided drawer walls are limited.
Twin wall
The twin wall drawer style features double metal walls for enhanced durability and stability. The soft close feature is standard, ensuring that the drawers close quietly and smoothly. These drawers are available in variants, with weight capacities of 30kg and 70kg and are available in white, light grey and dark grey. The heights of metal sided drawer walls are limited, however rails and infills are available. These are the standard drawer runners used by Open Space.

Inner Drawers

Inner drawers
A great way to maximize storage space in your kitchen. They are designed to fit inside larger drawers and provide additional compartments for storing utensils, cutlery, and other kitchen essentials. Inner drawers are available in a variety of sizes and styles to suit your needs. Whether you’re looking for a simple and functional design or something more stylish and modern, there’s an inner drawer that’s perfect for your kitchen.
